Pastor Timothy L. Jordan

Pastor Timothy L. Jordan was born in Rome, New York, but has traveled and lived throughout the world, including Okinawa Japan, where he learned to appreciate various languages and cultures.  Pastor Jordan comes to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with a wealth of experience and achievements.  Pastor Jordan was licensed to preached at the Evergreen Baptist Church under the dynamic leadership of the Rev. Dr. Guy Campbell Jr., on July 10, 1988, and was ordained by the Bethany Baptist Association on March 30, 1993.  Pastor Jordan began pastoring in his early 20's and had previously served the Hopewell Baptist Church of Penns Grove, New Jersey, Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Paterson, NJ and The Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Mullica Hill, NJ.  On December 10, 2008, God placed the Reverend Jordan here at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where we have already experienced tremendous growth as pastor and people.

Pastor Jordan's undergraduate education includes Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), The Community College of the Air Force, The Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (ESCM Program), and the Princeton Theological Seminary (Continuing Education).  Pastor Jordan is currently a Master of Divinity candidate at the Distance program of ITC (Interdenominational Theological Center) through the Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, GA, where his uncle, the Rev. Dr. William T. Perkins currently serves as Dean and President.

Pastor Jordan's preaching gifts have allowed him to preach throughout the country and has also afforded him the opportunity to preach for various venues, including the prestigious InRhoads program at Hofstra University. On several occasions he has ministered and preached to the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles.

In 2007 Pastor Jordan was inducted into "Who's Who" for his Outstanding Leadership to Church and Community.  He has received numerous awards and citations, but what he is most proud of is his relationship with God, his family, and his new church family.  He is married to the former Tanya M. Watson, and they are the extremely proud parents of two very beautiful and gifted children, Brianna Lynn and Brandon Timothy.  Pastor Jordan's favorite scripture is found in I Timothy 1:12."and I thank Christ Jesus my Lord, who has enabled me for that He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry".  His favorite hymn is "Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus".
